James R. Woodhead has been helping employees retire for more than thirty two
years. He specializes in the areas of FEGLI, Social Security, Pensions, and the TSP
for Federal employees. He helps the employee understand the many and
confusing options that the federal employee will have when retiring from the
federal government. Some of these options are not changeable after the choice
has been made so it is very important for the employee to understand them.

James has spoken at hundreds of educational events and worked with thousands
of employees in the last thirty two years helping them get the answers they need
and for them to understand all of their options as well as the impact those
decisions will have. As a Federal Retirement Consultant (FRC), he provides expert
help in guiding the employee to initiate a strategic plan that integrates their
federal benefits with other retirement assets, that will accomplish all of the
retirement goals of the employee. James likes to meet with the employee by
phone or zoom multiple times per year to keep them updated on any changing
events and to monitor how their plan is performing. James has been working with
some of his clients for more than twenty years and enjoys and takes pride in the
length of time that he has been working with these individuals and families.

James finished his studies at the University of South Carolina – Aiken in 1990. He
lives in Charleston, South Carolina with his wife Maria and has two sons and four
grandchildren. James and Maria are very active in their church and enjoy
spending time with friends and family.
